Latest Updates

April 28, 2026: Our first site plan submission was returned with very few comments, in fact, only two of real concern, and we are happy to report that both have been fully resolved as of Monday, April 27. The revised site plan is scheduled for resubmission on May 8, 2026, and, pending final approval, we hope to begin rough grading of the site shortly thereafter. Behind the scenes, we continue to work closely with contractors, engineers, local officials and the district to ensure steady and careful progress. We remain deeply grateful for your prayers and generosity; especially a strong response and commitment that will be shown through the completion of pledge cards, which make this important work possible. We look forward to sharing further updates as construction advances.

Immaculate Heart of Mary Chapel Building Project

We are pleased to announce the beginning of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Chapel Building Project in Front Royal.

This project will provide a permanent home for our parish community and a reverent place dedicated to the worship of God through the Traditional Latin Mass, the sacraments, and the full life of the Catholic Faith.

Our growing congregation now requires a chapel that can properly serve the spiritual needs of Catholic families throughout the Shenandoah Valley.

Please click the "Donate!" button above to donate online or the "Make a Pledge!" button to download a pledge card. Instructions for how to fill out and submit pledge cards - along with other ways to contribute financially - can be found in the "How Can You Help" section.

Why We Need a New Chapel

Over the past several years our chapel community has grown steadily. At present, Sunday attendance frequently exceeds the capacity of our current rented facility.

In addition to these limitations, persistent maintenance concerns and difficulties with the landlord have made it clear that a stable and permanent chapel is necessary for the continued development of the apostolate.

A permanent church will allow our community to worship in a setting worthy of the sacred liturgy and provide room for future growth.

Preserving the Traditional Mass

In a time when the Traditional Mass faces increasing restrictions in many dioceses, this project will help ensure the continued presence of the apostolate of the Society of Saint Pius X in the Shenandoah Valley.

The chapel will serve as a place where Catholic families can:

Plans for the New Chapel

Our architectural plans have been proposed, and fundraising is now underway.

The new chapel has been designed as a durable and cost-conscious structure, combining the strength of modern construction with the beauty of traditional Catholic design.

The property and site plan include:

Once completed, the chapel will provide a stable home for Catholic worship and parish life for many years to come.

How You Can Help

The success of this project depends upon the prayers and generosity of the faithful.

You can help in several ways:

1. Pray

Please remember this project in your daily prayers and family Rosary. The following prayer to St. Joseph is especially recommended:

St. Francis De Sales' Prayer to St. Joseph:
Glorious St. Joseph, Spouse of Mary, grant us thy paternal protection, we beseech thee by the Heart of Jesus Christ. O Thou, whose power extends to all our necessities and can render possible to us the most impossible things, open thy fatherly eyes to the needs of thy children. In trouble and distress that afflicts us, we confidently have recourse to thee. Make its happy outcome be for God’s glory and for the good of His devoted servants. Amen.

2. Donate

To contribute financially, please click here to donate online or visit our donations page for more information.

3. Make a Pledge

Pledge cards are available next to the chapel bulletin board in the overflow room. You may also download a pledge card by clicking here.

A pledge is a commitment to contribute a specified amount over a set period of time. It allows your future contributions to be included in the financial planning of the building project and helps us move forward faster.

Completed pledges may be submitted in one of the following ways:
